DUI and Aggravated DUI

A DUI arrest can be overwhelming and you need an experienced attorney to help guide you through the process.  Your arrest will typically trigger the suspension of your driver's license after 46 days.  In an attempt to defeat that outcome, a Petition to Rescind the suspension should be filed as soon as possible.  The length of that suspension, much like the severity of the DUI itself, will depend on the circumstances of each case.  A typical DUI charge in Illinois is a class A misdemeanor, but even a conviction on a misdemeanor DUI can further revoke your driver's license.  Furthermore, the circumstances of your case or prior DUI's may result in felony charges.  Bob has both prosecuted and defended DUI's throughout his career. As a former prosecutor, he knows what the State needs to prove your guilt, and as a seasoned defense attorney he knows how to vigorously defend you against prosecution.  He has represented DUI clients in every county in the Chicagoland area and knows the nuances of each.  Contact Bob for a free consultation.

Misdemeanor and Felony Criminal Defense

Over the course of his career as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, Bob has handled a wide spectrum of criminal charges.  From misdemeanor offenses like battery, domestic battery, retail theft, disorderly conduct, and driving on a suspended license to complicated felony matters such as aggravated DUI, possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, robbery or armed robbery, burglary or residential burglary, sex offenses and first degree murder, Bob will evaluate your case, provide you an honest assessment of the facts, and aggressively defend you against prosecution in an effort to secure the best possible outcome.

Traffic Tickets and CDL's

Typically, traffic tickets are charged as misdemeanors or, more commonly, petty offenses.  While it is rare that the ordinary ticket would rise to the level of a felony, even the simplest of traffic infractions can carry serious consequences that impact your ability to drive.  This is particularly true if you hold a commercial driver's license, or CDL.  Bob can help walk you through the traffic court process to ensure the best possible outcome.  Oftentimes, your appearance in court may not even be necessary.

Expungement and Sealing

People make mistakes.  Sometimes those errors in judgment lead to a prior disposition on a criminal case.  Perhaps you were found not guilty or a case against you was dismissed but you would like to clear your criminal record.  Contact Bob to see if a prior criminal outcome is eligible to be expunged or sealed.  Depending on the charge and final disposition, it might be possible to put that prior criminal case behind you for good!
